After the recent announcement regarding the schedule for releasing One UI 8 for Galaxy devices in India, the company has started to distribute the Android 16-based software update. Social media reports indicate that the Samsung Galaxy F36 is the newest model from the South Korean technology company to get this update. Users of Samsung have stated that the same update is now available for its twin device, the Galaxy M36. In a message on X, a user named Mohammed Khatri mentioned that One UI 8 is now out for both the Galaxy F36 and Galaxy M36 in India. The update, based on Android 16, is said to be roughly 2344.43MB in size and may come with one of these build numbers, depending on the device:

According to the post, One UI 8 for the Galaxy F36 and Galaxy M36 also includes the newest security update for September 2025. Meanwhile, users on Samsung's Community Forum in India confirmed that the Galaxy M36 is receiving the update, which is about 2359.37MB in size. Samsung states, “Enjoy a refreshed appearance for your Galaxy” with this update. One UI 8 and Android 16 feature a modern, user-friendly design with bright colors, enhanced widgets, and improved layouts. Explore new methods to connect, create, and safeguard your information while experiencing a smoother, more customized interface. One UI 8 is available as a complimentary over-the-air (OTA) update for eligible devices. When it is ready, users will get a notification about its release. They can also manually look for the update by going to Settings > Software Update.
To install One UI 8 on your Galaxy device, select Download and Install and accept the terms and conditions. Software updates are typically released gradually. Therefore, those who don’t see the latest update on their Galaxy device immediately can check again for One UI 8 in the next few days.
