Redmi has officially announced that the Redmi Turbo 5 series will soon be released, introducing a new model called the Redmi Turbo 5 Max. The company has also revealed the expected price range for this new device. It is likely to be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity processor. Additionally, the basic Redmi Turbo 5 and the Turbo 5 Pro are also reportedly being developed, with various leaks suggesting details about their features and specifications. A post on Weibo confirmed that the Redmi Turbo 5 Max will be launched in China later this month. The precise release date has not been shared yet, but the teaser indicates that the phone will be priced around CNY 2,500 (about Rs. 33,000). It is said to offer "excellent battery life" and "top-level performance. " The Redmi Turbo 5 Max will join the Turbo series, which up to now only included the regular Turbo and Turbo Pro models. Xiaomi released the Redmi Turbo 4 in January 2025 in China, but customers had to wait until April for the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro.
Earlier rumors suggested that the Redmi Turbo 5 series would be introduced alongside the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. The Turbo 5 series is expected to feature MediaTek Dimensity chipsets. It is believed that the Redmi Turbo 5 will use the MediaTek Dimensity 8500, while the Turbo 5 Pro may come with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500e. Neither of these chipsets has been officially launched by MediaTek yet. The Redmi Turbo 5 Pro was recently seen on the Chinese 3C certification site with the model number 2602BRT18C. There are speculations that it will have a 9,000mAh battery with fast charging at 100W. On the other hand, the standard Turbo 5 might feature an 8,000mAh battery, also supporting 100W charging. It is anticipated to have a 6.5-inch LTPS flat screen with a 1.5K resolution.
