The final rites for the famous singer Asha Bhosle will take place at Shivaji Park on Monday afternoon with full state honors. The 92-year-old legend, who influenced Bollywood music for more than seventy years with her diverse voice and classic songs, died on Sunday from multiple organ failure at Breach Candy Hospital. Her body was later taken to her home in Lower Parel. Devendra Fadnavis visited her home on Sunday evening to pay his respects and laid down flowers in tribute. The State Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar, along with politicians Sunil Shinde and Prasad Lad, also honored her memory. Shelar mentioned that Bhosle would receive a state funeral at 4 pm on April 13. Her son, Anand Bhosle, stated that the public can pay their respects starting at 11 am at Casa Grande in Lower Parel, her residence. "Her final rituals will take place at 4 pm on Monday at Shivaji Park," he mentioned. Affectionately called Ashatai, Bhosle was honored with the Padma Vibhushan and Maharashtra Bhushan awards.

Early on Monday morning, singer and composer AR Rahman was spotted at Asha Bhosle's house. Actor Urmila Matondkar expressed her heartbreak, struggling to handle the loss of the legendary Asha Bhosle. Matondkar, known for appearing in Bhosle's famous songs like 'Rangeela Re' and 'Kambakht Ishq', shared an emotional message on her Instagram. "I am heartbroken beyond words. I’ve always told her I’m not just her fan but her Ultimate Bhakt. . My Goddess," she expressed. “I am very saddened” by her death, stated Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a social media post. “Her special musical journey over the decades has enriched our cultural legacy and touched the hearts of countless individuals throughout the world,” Modi explained. “From moving tunes to lively pieces, her voice had a timeless brilliance. ”
Actor Priyanka Chopra shared a touching tribute to the legendary singer Asha Bhosle, considering the loss as profoundly personal and nostalgic.
