Canadian Soccer Star Cyle Larin Arrested In Florida

Canadian Soccer star Cyle Larin, found himself in the jail on Thursday after being arrested on the charge of drunk-driving.

Larin was stopped at around 2:30 a.m. in the Orlando after a Florida Highway Patrol car saw the white Cadillac travelling in the wrong direction, and in the wrong lane of a four-lane roadway in the Orlando.

The Florida Highway Patrol said that the 22-year-old Larin from Brampton, Ont., blew a .179 and a .182 on the sobriety test, where as the Florida legal limit is .08.

Larin was arrested on the charges of alcohol or drugs and also was given a citation for driving on the wrong side of a road. Larin was released from the Orange County jail only after spending the minimum mandated period of eight hours in custody following the arrest in Florida.

An Orlando City spokesman has confirmed the charge but said that it would not be making any comment until it had spoken to the player. The Canadian Soccer Association said that it had been in contact with Orlando City and also would issue a statement in due course.

The arrest report from Florida Highway Patrol said that Larin's Cadillac has just missed hitting the Mercedes, which was travelling in the proper lane.

As per the arrest report, Larin said that he and a woman in the passenger seat had been at the ONO Nightclub in downtown Orlando.

Larin told to the officer that he was from Toronto and also unfamiliar with the area, although he said that he had lived in Orlando for three years.

The officer said that, Larin also offered number of answers when asked about how much alcohol he had consumed, at first he said none, then two drinks, then 2-3 "Vodka Red Bulls."

Larin had difficulty while taking part in the field sobriety test, according to arrest report. A Florida Highway Patrol spokesman said that Larin was co-operative and also was "respectful" throughout.
