In a case of multiple credit card fraud, a Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane has been arrested in Miami, Florida. The 25-year-old singer, whose original name is Johnson-Hunga Oyindamola Emmanuel, has been arrested on Friday, along with other Nigerian, who is identified as Chukwuebuka.
The charges levied against Dammy Krane are: a 3rd degree grand theft, credit card forgery and also identity forgery. A bond of $17,500 has also been placed on him.
Before this arrest, the singer resided in the Davido’s house in Atlanta and was also pictured flying in a private jet few days ago.
Dammy Krane, was charged to the court on a 9-count charge, after he was arrested in the Miami, United States for a grand theft and also credit card forgery.
It was found that the singer has also tried to book a private jet on the TapJets with a stolen card, is still in the custody. TapJets has also confirmed that the singer has been charged to court.
Under the acting Florida law, grand theft is a kind of felony offense, with the penalties which may include prison, probation, fines, restitution and also a permanent criminal record.
On Saturday morning, the singer posted some vague tweets which have neither confirmed nor refuted his arrest. Dammy is in jail pending until he meets his bail requirements.
Tapjets in the one to uncover the credit card fraud. Tapjets, a private jet service that Dammy Krane allegedly swindled, has revealed how the credit card fraud was detected.
Dammy Krane paid the Tapjets bills with a stolen credit card for the service, leading to his arrest in the Miami on Friday.
He was arrested alongside of an accomplice, Chukwuebuka.
The Head of Flight Safety and Security for the Tapjets, Mr Konstantin, said that, “He (Dammy Krane) uses Samsung Galaxy 7, and messages did not come from that phone.”
However, the same phone was used by the singer to place various online orders with the credit card which does not belong to him. The company also revealed that the Dammy’s accomplice, Chukwuebuka has also tried to purchase a flight from another phone with the other card.
Tapjets said that it is not proud with the incident, but the company wants others to think twice before stealing from the companies.
