The session of Florida Legislative has ended without any deal on the medical marijuana. The biggest clash was over how many growers of marijuana to allow and also how many retail outlets that they could operate.

So as of now, to meet the deadlines baked into the Amendment 2, the Florida Department of Health has put a notice out in the last week, which said that it will develop the medical marijuana rules without the input of lawmakers.

What is more is that, they plan to do the legislature with more of executive authority than the usual. Which would potentially bypass the difficulties of marijuana bill in the year 2014.

A judge has ruled in the last week that the Florida Department of Health must issue two more medical marijuana growing licenses. Which means that Florida will have nine medical marijuana growers.
