Sushma Swaraj asks reports of an Indian sentenced to jail in Saudi

Union external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj, has asked Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia for reports on the case of an Indian MBA graduate in Saudi Arabia, who was sentenced to jail for an year with 300 lashes by Saudi court.
Mohammed Mansoor Hussain is from Hyderabad, who refused to accept the judgement of the court and urged that he was not stealing his company’s money.
Many news agency, published the story about Mohammed Mansoor Hussain plight, Subsequently Union external minister tweeted, “asking for the reports from the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia.
Mohammed Mansoor Hussain is a 32 year old, was arrested when he went to a police station to complain about a theft of 1,06,000 riyals which belonged to his company. On 26 December 2016 the court sentenced him on finding guilt of theft.
Hoor Unissa mother of Mohammed Mansoor Hussain said to news” "The court did not examine the CCTV footage at a petrol bunk where my son was robbed of the cash by two men, one of who pointed a weapon at him."
Meanwhile close friends of Hussain, have shot a video of the place where Hussain had said the robbery had taken place. The video which was shot by Hussain’s friends shows that CCTVs were installed at the petrol bunk and that the examination of the footage can prove that the robbery took place.
The Saudi court had reportedly relied only up on the CCTV footage which was available at the bank, on the opposite side of the road, which did not capture any robbery. The court gave Hussain, one month's time to appeal the sentence.
