Another attack in USA took place at Pulse night club on Saturday Night. 50 people were gunned down and 53 more were injured, in the country’s worst mass shooting attack.
High spirited celebration was going on in the Pulse Night club, one of the most happening party places in Florida. Just a few days ago Orlando’s LGBT community had celebrated the annual Gay day celebration, which is one of the biggest events in USA. Pluse night club is known for its several gay-friendly establishments in downtown Oralando’s popular party scenes.The club was crowded with some 350 people in a Latin music night, when the attack took place.
The shooter was identified as Omar S Mateen, of whom the FBI officials have said that, he might have some leanings towards the Islamic State Militants. Barack Obama said about this incident that "We know enough to say that this was an act of terror and an act of hate,". The FBI admitted, that the shooter Omar Mateen was previously investigated due to ties to a US Suicide Bomber, but was cleared .
Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer said that 39 people were killed inside the club, two outside, and nine others died after being rushed to hospital. A police working as a security guard at th Pulse Night Club, exchanged fire with the suspects at 2 a.m. A hostage situation was created quickly and after 3 hours a squad of officers stormed the club and shot the Gunman. But the time of shooting the victims are not clear.
A man was arrested in California with some assault weapons and possible explosives. He told the authorities, that he was in the Los Angeles area for Gay Pride festival. Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on a congressional intelligence committee observed that, the Orlando Shooting took place during the time of Ramadan, and the Islamic State Leaders who lead territory in Syria and Iraq wanted to make attacks during this time.
If it is confirmed as an act of terrorism , it would be the deadliest attack in USA since 11th September, 2011.
