For the fifth consecutive day today, the Telangana issue rocked the proceedings of Lok Sabha resulting in adjournment till noon.

When the House took up the question hour, the TRS, TDP and Congress members of the Telangana region stormed into the well of the house holding placards and posters reading ‘Respect public opinion’ , ‘Keep up the promise on Telangana’ and ‘Jai Telangana’.

As these members continued with slogan shouting, nothing was audible in the House and only one question could be taken up amid the din.

Surprisingly, BJP members, who supported the Telangana MPs during the last four days in their agitation, today called the exercise as a conspiracy of the Government. “It is a conspiracy to ensure that proceedings didn’t take place in the House,” charged the BJP members.

As the din continued, Speaker Meira Kumar adjourned the House till noon. (J)
