The Trump Hotel Collection has announced that access to its systems at the front desk of hotels was gained by the hackers between May 2014 and June 2015. It was confirmed that gift shops as well as hotel restaurants were even hacked.

The data hacking started happening over a year now. After the hacking of the payment systems at seven Trump hotels, the debit card and credit card numbers of the customers may have been stolen. However, according to the operator of the hotel, it was detected in an independent forensic investigation that no evidence was found indicating the misuse of any information of the customers. Affected customers are being offered free identity theft protection by the company for a year.

Potential thefts happened at Trump International New York, Trump International Chicago, Trump International Hotel, Trump SoHo New York, Trump International Waikiki in Hawaii, Trump National Doral in Miami, Trump International Toronto, and Tower Las Vegas.
