Florida Woman fell to Death at Grand Canyon

A Florida woman fell hundreds of feet to her death while hiking in the Grand Canyon  on Friday.

the national park has informed that, the rangers have found the body of Colleen Burns, a 35 years old woman, nearly 400 feet below Ooh-Aah Point, after receiving a call that a woman had fallen. The point, on the South Kaibab Trail, is popular for scenic beauty with an elevation of 6,660 feet. Burns accidentally stepped off a ledge at Ooh Aah Point, about a mile down the South Kaibab Trail.

The National park has reported that Burns and her friends were hiking and taking sunrise photos when she fell. Burns was a regional marketing director for Yelp. Jessica Roman, who was with Burns, told the station that the accident happened as Burns' group was switching places with another group at the point. Roman informed,  "She was stepping out of the way for another gentleman to kind of squeeze in, and unfortunately, Colleen kind of got tripped up on her own feet and fell backwards, fell into the canyon." Roman expressed, “That was the longest, strangest, craziest two seconds of my life,”

Her employer made a statement after her death, saying her a “cherished Yelp colleague” whose “passing represents a tremendous loss to our company, the communities she supported and the many friends she made while doing what she loved.”
