The Child Dragged by the Alligator is not yet found

A two years old boy was attacked and dragged by an alligator on the shores of the Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa on Tuesday night. The child was still missing in the early Wednesday morning.

Sheriff Jerry Demings said, that the rescue personnel has been actively searching for the child in the seven sea lagoon but had not found him. They expected to find him before daylight. Demings said "As a father, as a grandfather, we're going to hope for the best in these circumstances, but based on my 35 years of law enforcement experience, we know we have some challenges ahead of us,"

Nebraska family was relaxing on the shore, when the alligator attacked the boy. The father entered the water to pull the boy but was unsuccessful. He had scratches in his hands.The parents immediately informed the nearby lifeguard about the attack on the boy. The officials suspected, that the alligator was about 4 to 7 feet long.

Deputies closed off the area with crime scene tapes . Multiple emergency vehicle covered the front drive. About 50 members of the Reedy Creek Fire Rescue, Orange County and the Florida Fish and Wildlife officials joined forces, to search for the child and the alligator.

There were no warnings about the gators but several notices are there about not to swim in the man made lake. Grand Floridian is an luxury resort owned by Disney and is one of the three hotels in the monorail line.

The President of the resort, Jacquee Wahler stated,  "Everyone here at the Walt Disney World Resort is devastated by this tragic accident. Our thoughts are with the family, We are helping the family and doing everything we can to assist law enforcement.".
