VHR meets Sonia

The senior Congress leader, V Hanumantha Rao met the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi at her residence in New Delhi this morning.  Our sources said that Hanumantha Rao raised a complaint against the chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy relating to the strategy that he is adopting in the upcoming by-polls.  Notably, the chief minister recently held an internal meet to discuss the by-poll strategy.  Reports indicate that he asked the Congress leaders not to debate on YSR issue and asked them to respect YSR.

On the other hand, V Hanumantha Rao criticised many times that YS Rajashekara Reddy and YS Jaganmohan Reddy both were corrupt.

In the wake of Kiran Kumar Reddy’s statement that YSR is always a Congress man, V Hanumantha Rao seems to be unhappy.  Earlier on Tuesday, VHR said people would believe Congress party only if they go ahead in the elections without using YSR’s photo.  He also turned down the statements made by some party leaders predicting that it would cost big to the party if it doesn’t criticizes YS Rajashekara Reddy.  He has also said that Congress should look both YSR and Jagan from one angle. He has also stressed that YSR was re-elected as the chief minister for second term not because of his Padayatra.

Now VHR seemed to have brought the same to the notice of Sonia.  If that’s the case then would high command direct Kiran sarkar not to use YSR’s name and photo in the bypolls?  One has to wait for a few more days to know the answer.(Phai)
