Story
Hora Hori is the story of Mythili (Daksha) who is well educated and comes from a traditional family. A cold blodded criminal Basaveswar (Chaswa) happens to see Mythili and he falls in love with her. He starts killing all the guys who steps ahead to marry Mythili which makes her mentally ill. Her family takes her to a small village in Karnataka where she meets Skanda (Dileep) and as days getting passed she turns up normal and ends up falling in love with Skanda. The rest of the film is how Skanda faces Basaveswar and his evil mind ending up winning his love. Watch the movie to know about the rest.
Analysis :
The first half of the movie starts on an average note with the main characters getting unfolded. The movie looks completely unnatural right from the first frame of the film. The movie has been written without interest and director Teja who has a habit of repeating the concept comes up with one more revenge drama in which villain is much more powerful than the lead actor. As usual the heroine of the movie struggles between the hero and the villain to win in her love. The first half of the movie is a complete downfall which ends on a below average note.
After a horrible first half, the movie dips even more during the second half. Except the melodious music and the background score, the movie has nothing new to offer. The most surprising thing is that what made the makers get convinced to produce a film like Hora Hori. The complete second half of the film is the major letdown for the film.
Performance :
Dileep and Daksha make a decent debut as actors and they have performed well for their assigned roles. Chaswa is an asset for the movie and he carried the movie completely. All the other actors though they have been given limited screen space performed well as per the requirements.
There's nothing new in the story of the movie except the old love story and a revenge drama. The screenplay and the dialogues have been completely outdated which make the film completely fall down. The music and the background score are the assets for the film. The cinematography and the editing has been ok. The production values have been decent. Director Teja bags one more disaster into his account with Hora Hori.
Final Word:
Teja who has been habitual of directing films with same content comes up with one more outdated love story which will end up as the biggest failures in his career. A film that can be completely ignored.
