Bangladesh seals a heart-stopping win in second ODI beating India by six wickets, while leading the series by 2-0. Despite one game still left to play, Bangladesh bagged their first ever series win over India, aided by pace bowler Mustafizur Rahman’s 11 wickets in the two matches so far.
In the first ODI held on Thursday, Bangladesh had beat India by 79 runs. Chasing a stiff target of 308, India had to succumb for 228 in 46 overs and in the second ODI Bangladesh had completed 200 runs in 38 overs.
Accepting the defeat against Bangladesh, captain of India Mahendra Singh Dhoni said he was willing to step down if that helped Indian cricket.
"I am always the one who is responsible for anything bad that happens in Indian cricket. Everything that happens is because of me. Even the Bangladesh media is smiling," said Dhoni at the post-match conference.
