Uruguay SHOCK South Africa

Uruguay recorded a shocking victory over South Africa with a 3-0 score on Wednesday night sending waves of disappointment all over the country over the hosts’ performance in the FIFA world cup group match.

Uruguay, which opened with a 0-0 draw against France, have four points going into their group-play finale against Mexico on Tuesday. South Africa wasted a second-half lead in a 1-1 tie against Mexico in last week's World Cup opener, and have one point. They play France on Tuesday in Bloemfontein.

Uruguay's Diego Forlan brought the hosting country team to a crashing halt, scoring two goals in a 3-0 victory that pushed the hosts closer to exiting the first South Africa. That would be a first for a host country in the World Cup.
